Mr. Jones represents emerging companies from formation and early-stage financing through later-stage growth and exit events, providing day-to-day legal counsel on corporate governance, fundraising, and commercial matters. He also focuses on corporate and securities law, including capital markets transactions, public and private M&A, and financial restructurings. His experience spans advising public and private companies, financial sponsors, and creditors on complex transactions and regulatory issues under U.S. securities laws and the Bankruptcy Code.

  • Capital Markets Transactions
    Advised a publicly traded company on multiple SEC-registered offerings, including preparing registration statements, disclosure documents, and responding to regulatory comments.

  • Cross-Border Private Equity Acquisition
    Represented a global private equity sponsor in its acquisition of a multinational retail business, handling corporate structuring, diligence, and regulatory coordination.

  • Chapter 11 Restructuring of Technology Company
    Counseled debtors and creditors in restructuring matters, including asset sales under Section 363, DIP financing, and plan confirmation strategy.

  • M&A Transaction for a Public Healthcare Company
    Advised a Nasdaq-listed healthcare company on its acquisition of a regional operator, including board governance, disclosure obligations, and post-closing integration.

  • Corporate Governance for Fortune 500 Board
    Advised the board and audit committee of a Fortune 500 company on fiduciary duties, public disclosure, and internal governance enhancements in response to shareholder activism.

  • Securities Filings and Compliance
    Assisted multiple public companies in preparing periodic filings under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and Section 16 reporting.

  • Corporate Restructuring Strategy for State-Owned Oil Company
    Advised a state-owned oil company on restructuring strategy and intercompany issues related to multi-party litigation.

Mr. Jones maintains an active pro bono practice focused on advancing equity and access to justice.

  • Immigration Relief for Survivors
    Represented individuals in securing immigration relief through U Visas and other humanitarian programs, including victims of gender-based violence.

  • Veterans’ Rights Advocacy
    Assisted a nonprofit veterans’ organization in successfully restoring veteran status and benefits for former service members who were wrongfully discharged.

  • Rights Restoration for Formerly Incarcerated Individuals
    Assisted a nonprofit organization in restoring civil rights for formerly incarcerated individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities post-conviction.

Prior Experience

Before joining Anderson P.C., Mr. Jones practiced at Sidley Austin LLP, where he supported high-stakes M&A, restructuring, and governance matters for leading public companies. He also served in executive leadership roles at global firms including CCC (Compressor Controls Corporation) and Accudyne Industries, where he led strategic planning, sales operations, and market development initiatives across the industrial and energy sectors.

Salim Jones

Salim Jones focuses his practice on corporate and securities law, advising clients on capital markets transactions, securities regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investments.

Prior to joining Anderson P.C., Salim was an attorney at Sidley Austin LLP. Before entering private practice, he held global commercial leadership positions in the energy and power generation sectors, where he concentrated on market expansion and innovation strategy.

While earning his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, Salim focused on administrative law and served as a teaching assistant for the 1L Legislation and Regulation course.

He holds an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Philosophy from the State University of New York.

Salim is fluent in French.
